When Stars Speak is a first-person job simulator. The player works alone aboard a spaceship as an astral consultant: clients write in asking about their future, and the answers have to be read in the sky.

Scope

This was a UX review case study built at Digital Bros Game Academy, run as a full pass rather than a single deliverable:

  • User research — interviews to understand what the fiction was asking of the player.
  • Userflows and wireframes — mapping the consultant’s loop, from a client’s letter to the moment the player commits to a reading.
  • Usability testing — checking the flow against players who hadn’t seen the brief.

The brief put the player in a strange position on purpose: an expert, alone, reading an interface that’s also a sky. The UX work was about making that premise legible without breaking the isolation that makes it work.

This is a UX case study, not a shipped build — the write-up above reflects the scope of the review rather than a full production narrative.
